Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa have been ranked in the top 10 Hotels of 950 in Ireland amongst the top 5 stars across the country. On Tuesday it was announced that the Kerry Hotel is ranked No. 5 in the country ahead of many five stars & with one other 4 star. The rankings are a customer based decision on the quality of reviews received annually.

Speaking from Ballygarry House this week, proprietor Padraig McGillicuddy said
“In a time of great uncertainty across our industry we are delighted with this positive news. It really is down to the team at Ballygarry. It takes each & every one of the 150 staff that interacts with guests to make that moment memorable. Standards must be high & each guest has a varied expectation & we must meet & exceed that at every opportunity. It’s a testament to the culture of the team & the history of Ballygarry along with our loyal customers whom we are more grateful to than ever to in the current climate”

This endorsement of standards is very reassuring for the next chapter in Ballygarry House’s journey which is to transition into an Estate Hotel. “Essentially our aim is to develop the 100 acres we sit on to give the guest more options, more things to do in the outdoors. We are going to connect the hotel through a series of paths & a new dedicated bridge direct from the hotel into Ballyseede woods.

We are working closely with Kerry County council to connect Ballygarry along the north shore of the river Lee to be able to cycle from Ballygarry to Fenit on dedicated paths. We aim to have far more amenities for leisure guests & families along with a vast options of walkways for locals enjoying a pre or post diner stroll.

The Tripadvisor rankings are Harvey’s point in Donegal taking first position followed by Killarney Park, Ashford Castle, Dromoland Castle, Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa, The Lake Hotel, Adare Manor, Hayfield Manor, The Brehon, Killarney & the River Lee Hotel in Cork.
