KERRY COLLEGE OF FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING (Kerry College) is now offering remote, online, face-to-face consultations for those considering a course at one of their 4 campus locations in the Autumn.

Enrolment is now underway for a September 7th start and places are filling fast across their range of programmes. Kerry College offers apprenticeships, courses that link to employment or courses that open up progression routes to third level.

Kerry College Admissions Officer John Herlihy feels that in an increasingly online world, particularly after the COVID-19 shutdown where many felt isolated – the online clinics are a positive thing :

“What we’re finding is that although browsing for information and signing up for courses online is very convenient, people often just want to speak with a person or have a face to face on Zoom or FaceTime and have their questions answered that way. Sometimes, it’s just more direct and easier to have a conversation”.

Kerry College offers over 100 full time courses across its campus locations in Listowel, Tralee at Monavalley, Clash Road and Denny Street. These courses include: Applied Science, Social Studies, Culinary Arts, Nursing, IT Support, Animation, Music, Computer Game Design, CAD, Engineering, Business, Medical and Office Administration, Healthcare, Pharmacy Sales, Physiotherapy, Outdoor Activity Instructor Training, Sports Nutrition, Pre-Teaching, Pre-Law and Pre-Garda Studies and Pre-PE Teaching amongst others.

An online face-to-face consultation with one of the Admissions team may be booked by calling Celine or Meaghan on 066-714 96 96.

All courses with an employment focus scheduled to start in September are now being called for interview. A first round of place offers will take place after these interviews have taken place. Interviews will be held online – via Zoom.

Courses include:
Early Childhood Care, Personal Training & Nutrition,
Healthcare Support (Carers), Pharmacy Sales Assistant,
Medical Administration, Office Administration,
Legal Administration, Beauty Therapy, Animal Care,
Furniture Making, IT Support Technician and Hairdressing.

Kerry College Admissions Officer Ella O’Donoghue is offering advice to applicants in advance of admissions interviews:

“Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we are holding our face to face interviews via Zoom. As always, applicants should have a good knowledge of the course content, what they hope to get from the course in terms of skills and development and an idea of where they would like to be employed afterwards. We know that getting work placement sponsors – which is a key part of many of our courses is a tough ask at the minute – applicants should do what they can on that front ”.
