Library Opening in Killocrim National School

Last week was a very busy week in Killocrim National School with the official opening of our brand new library. It is a vibrant, colourful focal point in our circulation area providing an inviting space for all our pupils to promote a love of reading.

It was fitting that recently retired Mrs. Marie Corridan did the honours as she planted the seeds for the idea during her time in school. She was warmly welcomed when she returned to see her idea come to fruition. Special guests on the day included author and poet, Gabriel Fitzmaurice, Maria Leahy of the Story Frog and Barthy Flynn of Listowel Library who kindly donated some additional stock for our library.

This project was made possible through the fundraising efforts of our school community. Míle buíochas.
