Listowel Group looking for New Walkway and believe now is the Perfect Time

The Office of Public Works are due to start work on an embankment at the rear of The Listowel Arms Hotel and a group of Listowel people see this as a real opportunity to create a new walkway that will add a beautiful amenity to the town. The group say that this neglected area between Tae Lane and Lofty’s can be transformed in a new walk for the people of north Kerry and any potential visitors to enjoy.

It would provide access to all areas of the town including access to schools, Garvey’s Shopping Centre, the new Primary Care Centre, Town Square, Town Centre and The Community Centre as well as joining with existing walkways.

The area has become a dumping ground for people with little respect for this lovely town we live in and now is the time to change this into something beautiful. During our racing festivals the walkway would get worldwide coverage and this can be done now at a minimal cost while the OPW works are being carried out.
