Kerry Writers’ Museum & St. John’s Theatre unite for a festive day of crafts, creativity, and community!
Listowel is about to sparkle with festive cheer as Kerry Writers’ Museum and St. John’s Theatre & Arts Centre join forces to present the 2025 Christmas Crafts Fair, a one-day celebration of creativity, connection, and Christmas magic!
Sunday 7th December 2025 | 11am – 5pm
Kerry Writers’ Museum & St. John’s Theatre, Listowel
Free Admission | Family-Friendly | Festive Fun All Day
Two Venues, One Festive Trail
For one joyful day, both venues will transform into bustling winter markets packed with local crafts, handmade gifts, art, design, and delicious treats. Visitors can wander between the two historic Listowel landmarks and discover over 30 local crafters and makers — each bringing something unique to the Christmas table. Think handwoven textiles, ceramics, jewellery, home décor, candles, prints, cards, bakes, and more — perfect for finding that special, one-of-a-kind gift.
A Dash of Christmas Cheer
Between browsing the stalls, visitors can warm up with festive refreshments. Enjoy a Christmas coffee and treat at the Castle View Café in Kerry Writers’ Museum, then follow the festive trail to St. John’s Theatre for a mulled wine or hot chocolate stop.
Festive Tunes & Local Talent
Adding to the atmosphere, there’ll be live music, carols, storytelling, and craft demos throughout the day — because in Listowel, creativity doesn’t stop at the stall.
“We’re so excited to bring the community together in this way,” says Cara Trant, Executive Director of Kerry Writers’ Museum. “The Christmas Crafts Fair has become one of the highlights of our year — a chance to support local makers, connect with neighbours, and soak up that lovely Kerry Christmas spirit.”
A Collaboration Worth Celebrating
This year marks an exciting creative partnership between two of Listowel’s most loved cultural venues. By hosting the event across both Kerry Writers’ Museum and St. John’s Theatre, organisers hope to spread the festive footfall, boost local shopping, and make Listowel the ultimate Christmas destination. “It’s about celebrating the spirit of the season,” says Máire Logue, Artistic Director of St. John’s Theatre. “We’re encouraging everyone to wander between both venues, meet our wonderful makers, and enjoy a festive day that brings the whole community together.”
