A Short summary of the 92nd year of Football in North Kerry, our leagues started in February with five divisions, and a huge thank you to our sponsor Con McCarthy of McCarthy Insurance Listowel for his support of all divisions the winners were as follows: Division 1 Awarded to Tarbert. Division 2 Ballylongford. Division 3 Listowel Emmets B. Division 4 Finuge B. Division 5 Brosna B

Minor Leagues: Division 1 St Senans. Division 2 Castleisland Desmonds.

Cups: Intermediate Cup: Ballydonoghue B Sponsored by South of Ireland Waste Management. Junior Cup:  St Senans – Sponsored by Moloney and McCarthy Accountants Listowel. Novice Cup:  Brosna B.

Championships: Senior Championship sponsored by McMunns Bar and Restaurant Ballybunion went to Ballydonoghue for their 8th time in the Clubs history to bridge the gap from 1992 to present day. Man of the Match sponsored by Estuary Print and Trophies Ballylongford went to Paul Kennelly, Ballydonoghue.

Minor Championship sponsored by O’Connor Hardware and Farm Supplies Duagh
Division 2 went to Ballylongford/Asdee and we are down to Division 1 Final were Listowel Emmets will play St Senans on Sunday 15th January at 2pm

The Under 21 Championship sponsored by Dennehy Veterinary Clinic Duagh is at Quarter Final stage and that  started last Saturday 7th January

Scor Sinsear and the County Finals of Scor Sinsear sponsored by Estuary Print, Ballylongford, will be held in Bunscoil Mhuire gan Smal, Castleisland, on Saturday February 18th commencing at 8pm with the County Finals in the Quiz at the same venue with a starting time of 6pm sharp.

Semi-finals for North of the County which will include North Kerry, Football, North Kerry Hurling, West Kerry, Castleisland District and Tralee/St. Brendans with Saturday March 11th pencilled in Venue to be confirmed
County Finals on Sunday March 26th at the Foilmore Community Centre, 2pm with the Quiz County Finals 11am to be held at a separate venue to be confirmed.

To finish up I would like to thank all our the clubs who have helped me during 2016, to our Chairman Billy Enright a huge thank you for all the work you have put into North Kerry Football and for being a guiding figure always
honest and fair during our five years together, Also to fellow officer Maurice Mannix for all the work he has done at under age level and filling in for PRO and Secretary duties throughout the year. To finish up I would like to say thank you to Radio Kerry Sport for the coverage of our games which is of vital importance thanks to Gary and Joe, I like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
