Leaving Cert Graduation at Causeway Comprehensive

In a heartwarming ceremony, Causeway Comprehensive School bid farewell to its Leaving Certificate students with a graduation celebration filled with cherished memories, touching poetry, and beautiful music. Parents, teachers, and staff gathered to honor the achievements of the graduates and to wish them well in their future endeavors.

School Chaplain Paul Montgomery kicked off the celebration with an inspiring speech, reflecting on the resilience and determination of the students throughout their school years, particularly in navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic. He emphasized the importance of cherishing the friendships made and the lessons learned, both inside and outside the classroom.

The musical talents of the students were also showcased during the ceremony. A group of graduates sang a medley of songs that have become anthems for their class, blending harmonies that reflected both their individuality and their unity.

In closing,  Principal Cathal Fitzgerald expressed his pride in the students, acknowledging their hard work and the support of their families and teachers. He encouraged them to carry forward the values and skills they have developed at Causeway Comprehensive into the wider world.

The evening concluded with a reception in the school hall, where students, families, and staff mingled, enjoying refreshments and taking photos to commemorate the day. The atmosphere was one of celebration and optimism, with graduates eagerly discussing their plans for the future.
