A huge congratulations to Presentation Secondary School, Listowel’s u14 badminton team of Nicole Vesko, Triona Prendiville, Irene Carol, Kayla Galvin and Sinead Leahy who were silver medalists in the All Ireland Schools Badminton Finals in Gormanston Co. Meath.
The girls performed superbly on the day and the whole school are very proud of them. They began with an outstanding victory over Maryfield from Dublin, setting up a gold medal match against Royal & Prior from Donegal.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be in the final as the Donegal outfit proved too strong on the day.
Competing in Division 1 these girls can be very proud of making it all the way to the final 2 best teams in Ireland.
At a recent celebration of their success in the school Principal Katherina Broderick congratulated the team on their outstanding success at the highest level in the country. Ms Broderick expressed her thanks to Ms Carmel Hudson and Mr Brendan Galvin for all their coaching and support of the girls which proved instrumental in their success.
