Going on the Wren has been part of Beale GAA culture going back through the years and last December was no different, travelling the roads and entertaining many generations of the same families gathered for Christmas.
Following the passing of a valued member of the community just before Christmas, the Beale Wren Boys readily agreed to give the proceeds of the “Wren” to Kerry Alzheimer’s Society.
A cheque for €1,500 was presented to representatives of Kerry Alzheimer’s Society on Saturday last at Páirc de Staic.
