Relatives of local hero Listowel Alan Gleeson, who recently won two gold and one silver medal at the Transplant and Dialysis Games in Finland, have decided to do a Skydive on the 27th August in his honour. They will then donate all the proceeds to the Irish Kidney Association.
Alan’s sister Caroline and cousin Sharon will take to the skies in a effort to raise funds for this very worthy cause. To help with the fundraising the girls will hold a bucket collection in Garvey’s SuperValu, Listowel this Saturday 13th August and the girls would like to say a big thank you to SuperValu for their support. There may even be a special visit from European Champion Alan if he gets back in time from his dialysis session.
