TY students from Causeway Comprehensive School were delighted to present a cheque for €580 to members of Banna Rescue last week. The money was fundraised through the sale of 2024 calendars, which featured the winning images from the Geography Photograph Competition, which runs in the school throughout the year.

TY students, Caoimhe Dowling, Ella Diggins, Richard Casey, and Dylan Costello, who presented the cheque, volunteered to sell these calendars, with all proceeds donated to a vital local cause. Banna Rescue have recently commemorated the 40th anniversary since their formation. Banna Rescue patrols from Brandon Head to Kerry Head, including Tralee Bay, and are also tasked to callouts on land.

Thank you to the members of Banna Rescue, Pat Lawlor – PRO and former teacher in Causeway Comprehensive School, Brian Crean – Secretary, and James O’Loughlin – President, for attending the school for the presentation.
