Congratulations to the Causeway girls who won the U12A Co. Camogie League on Saturday. Full-time score was Causeway 2-6 to Cillard 2-4. Played in Ballyheigue in very wet & windy conditions Causeway dominated the opening half with plenty of possession and went though leading at half time by 1-3 to 1-1.
The 2nd half was a tightly contested affair with both teams displaying great skill & determination. Eilis Gaynor (capt) playing at full back inspired her team mates time and time again as she cleared her line. Niamh, Lauryn, Sarah, Emma & Tara worked tirelessly throughout the match showing their experience & abilities to help ensure Causeway’s victory. Well done to all the girls on the panel from 1 to 22 who all played their part in ensuring Causeway’s success.
