Debate success for Presentation Secondary Listowel

The past week saw a return to success for the Pres Listowel Debate Team as they progress to the next stage of the UCC Schools’ Debate League.

Presentation Listowel fought off tough competition from schools around Munster to win a spot in the coveted next round of the UCC Schools’ Debate League on Friday the 9th in UCC. Katie Trant and Noelle Dillion valiantly fought to propose the motion “The voting age must be lowed to sixteen” and succeeded in qualifying for the next round.

The girls engaged in thought-provoking discussions and impressed the judges with their ability to refute the opposition. They, alongside their peers, worked as a team and their success attest to the group effort of those who take part in debating in Pres Listowel.
