Recently retired Kerry GAA star Colm Cooper received a letter from Mary Shanahan’s neighbour Christina O’Driscoll who told him what a huge fan of his Mary was. She asked if there was any chance if he was in Listowel that he could pay her a surprise visit.
Last Thursday Colm, who is Business Development Manager with AIB in Kerry was visiting the Listowel branch and he and branch manager Stephen Stack along with Christina and her children called in to surprise Mary at home. Mary is originally from Wexford but is married and living in Listowel for 20 years. Colm said he was delighted to be able to make the visit and Mary was thrilled that he took the time to see her!
