A two hour film documentary title ‘Father and Son’ produced by local film producer Leo Finucane, Moyvane will be shown in Clounmacon Community Centre on Friday 4 April at 8pm.
The film tells the story of Paddy Finucane TD and his son Mick. The late Paddy Finucane served 26 years in Dáil Eireann, representing the people of North Kerry from 1943 until 1969. He secured the Brick and Cashen Drainage Schemes in the 1950’s and many improvements for the farming community.
The film also features the story of the Gortaglanna shooting and the rescue of Con Dee in 1921. Refreshments will be served and the admission is €10. Leo has made 18 films of local interest and this one is not to be missed!
