Listowel Hospice Coffee Mornings

338

A number of Coffee Mornings took place over the last number of weeks around Listowel and surrounding areas. These Coffee Mornings are one of the main fundraisers for the Listowel Hospice along with Sunflower Day and Christmas Cards. Bewley’s have been supporting this event generously for the last 30 years. Over 7 million was raised nationally in 2022 during the 30th anniversary campaign, with over €40,000 being raised in Kerry alone.

We would like to say a heartfelt thanks to Base Community Centre, Convent Primary School, Dromclough National School, Fastfix Doors Moyvane, Intreo Employment and Support Services, Pierse & Fitzgibbon Solicitors, Presentation Convent Secondary School, Tarbert Bridewell who have had Coffee Mornings and some soon to have them and presented the proceeds to the Listowel Hospice.

On 5th of October, The Listowel Arms Hotel hosted their event with a huge crowd attending. The hotel has been supporting the Listowel Hospice with this event for the last few years and we would like to say sincere thanks to them for their generous and continued support. The fantastic staff made sure everyone was well looked after. Many businesses donated spot prizes and Eilish Stack baked some delicious treats, sincere thanks to you all for your generosity. It was a wonderful morning, and it gave people a chance to catch up with family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. Sincere thanks to all that attended to support us, and we hope to see you all again next year.

Huge thanks to our fantastic volunteers who selflessly give up their free time. These events would not be able to happen without you.
The total figure raised so far for the Coffee Mornings is €4,857. The Listowel Hospice were blown away once again with the generous support from the community and would like to thank everyone that contributed. All money raised in Kerry, stays in Kerry and contributes towards vital funds required for the Palliative Care Unit in the University Hospital Kerry.
