Everyone from everywhere is going to the Listowel Harvest Racing Festival which begins this Sunday 20th and runs for seven days to Saturday 26th September

One of Ireland’s longest-established and most popular race meetings, the seven day Listowel Harvest Racing Festival, begins this Sunday and runs for seven days until Saturday, 26th September.

The meeting is traditionally popular as a celebration of the year’s harvest, with people taking time off work and flying in from all over the world to enjoy the quality jump and flat racing, convivial atmosphere and good fun that have been synonymous with Listowel Races since 1858.

Highlights over the week include Kinisla Family Day on Sunday, with a special appearance by Alfie the Alien; the Grade A €200,000 Guinness Kerry National on Wednesday; the Ryle Menswear Best Dressed Man Competition on Thursday; and McElligotts Kia Ladies Day on Friday, featuring judges Aoife Dunican and Frankie Foster, with a fabulous holiday to Sorrento as the first prize. The festival concludes on Saturday with its 15th Sustainable Style Competition, celebrating vintage, pre-loved and creative fashion, while live music, TG4 coverage, family entertainment, value party packs and corporate hospitality add to the experience throughout the week.
