Margaret Carmody along with all involved were delighted to Present this Cheque for €1,000 to our local Listowel Hospice in appreciation of the wonderful care provided in Listowel. Speaking at the presentation Margaret said: “our first donation started away back eighteen years ago when I was asked to show some students how to make the Crosses and has continued every year since with the exception of the Covid 19 years, and in 2019 Aras Mhuire Nursing Home received the €1000.00.

A special word of thank to the businesses who so kindly helped with getting donations towards the St Brigid’s Crosses: Listowel Arms Hotel, Mags Deli, The Flying Saucer Café, Charlie’s at College Cross (all Listowel), Brosnans’ Supermarket Tarbert, Kennelly’s Butchers Tarbert, Adams Garage Glin, Heaphy’s SuperValu Ballylongford, Duagh Family Centre and Jim Goulds Shop Kilmorna. To the team of helpers who made the crosses. Eileen Horan, John Horan, Helen Culhane, Saoirse Culhane, Eileen and Jer Kennelly, Margaret Carmody. A big thank you to Nick and Jer for providing the rushes to make the St Brigid’s Crosses. Without their help it would be difficult to raise this €1000
