Ballybunion Tidy Towns is happy to announce the completion of a defibulator project in collaboration with the Development Company and the Community Forum. The three local organisations came together to commission a cement replica of a iconic phone booth used long ago. In the booth is housed one of the town’s existing defibulators. Monday night saw the cutting of the ribbon on this new location outside Mikey Joe’s Pub. The Nagle and Moloneaux families, who were instrumental in raising funds for some of the defibulators around town, did the honors of cutting the ribbon. The event was follow by complimentary tea, coffee and sandwiches in Mikey Joe’s. The historic look of the phone booth will add another lovely touch to the historic Main Street.
