On Wednesday 3rd of May students from Presentation Secondary Listowel attended the SciFest@College competition in MTU Kerry. SciFest is a nationwide competition where students demonstrate their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and maths through their creative and innovative projects. Presentation Listowel were delighted to have 13 project entries this year from 1st, 2nd and Transition Year students.

Congratulations to 2nd Year Science student Katelyn Moloney who’s project on “How to power a lightbulb using a coin battery” won Best Chemistry Project.
Commenting on the success of her student’s projects, Science teacher Ms Jessica Keane said: “We are very proud of all our students, this was a fantastic achievement for the girls and the Science Department. The SciFest Competition allows students to develop their study of science, technology, engineering and maths, outside of the classroom and apply it to everyday life. All of the students have worked very hard on their projects and should be very proud of their achievements.”
