SUPPORT LOCAL BY SHOPPING LOCAL IN LISTOWEL
Our businesses and retailers have bounced back after the turmoil of Covid-19 but are now faced with the rising costs of inflation and need our support.
The Christmas Tree scheduled for delivery, and a festive evening is planned to switch on the lights and launch Christmas in Listowel on Saturday November 26th from 4.30pm-7pm. There will be music, craft & foods stalls, children’s activities and the Turning on of the Lights at 5.15pm.
Listowel Business and Community Alliance are again looking forward to Lighting up Listowel in conjunction with Kerry CoCo and our sponsors. This year we hope to install a new “Book Motif installation” as a signal towards Listowel’s literary heritage. A word of thanks also to Gas Networks Ireland for their continued sponsorship of the Giant Christmas bauble light installation which will be on display in the Square.
Rose Wall, Chairperson of Listowel Business and Community Alliance, has said “With Christmas on the way, there is an opportunity to get behind local businesses with local support and encouragement. We wish all traders a successful Christmas season especially those newly opened and would like to issue a little reminder that the Alliance is always open to new members!”

As always, we are grateful for the continued support of Kerry County Council. To help support local retailers and businesses, there will be free street parking, subject to a 2-hour limit with dates to be confirmed in the coming days.
