17 from the ‘70s – an Exhibition of signed Black & White Photographs, from the private collection of Kieran Moloney.
Kieran worked as a professional photographer in Chicago for over 20 years and, as a frequent, local visitor to Listowel Writers’ Week, he captured both the photographs and the autographs of these local characters. The exhibits originally featured at an event as part of a fundraising initiative to support the establishment of the Kerry Writers’ Museum.
The seventeen photos featured in this unique exhibition tell the story of the early contributors to Listowel Writers’ Week and, from gracing the walls of Kieran’s offices in Chicago, they now grace the walls of the Kerry Writers’ Museum.
This exhibition is available to view at Kerry Writers’ Museum from Culture Night, September 17th 2021 onwards. Listowel Writers’ Week is planning to host an event to celebrate the photographer and his work in the coming weeks – date to be announced.
