Following the success of the summer Anseo Kerry Live and Local Music and Entertainment, Anseo Kerry Live + Local Outdoor Shows are to return the weekend before Christmas. The Anseo Christmas Special Show brings music, song and festive craic to the live stage with a great line up of Kerry bands, singers and entertainers. Running from 12-6, in Listowel Town Square, this show will be fun and free and there’s something for all the family.
These ANSEO Kerry Shows are supported and funded by the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme from Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport & Media in association with Kerry County Council. According to Cllr. Jimmy Moloney, Mayor of Kerry, ‘The Local Live Performance Scheme is really important for the county’s artists as it enables them to get back on stage and perform and do what they do best, in front of a live audience. Not only that, but these Anseo Kerry Christmas Specials will bring festive fun to the town centres, who have been busy putting up Christmas lights and trees. Now we have these special Christmas outdoor concerts which will lift spirits and here’s hoping for plenty of sing-alongs and cheer!’
Live in Listowel:
Famed for her recent stunning performance on RTE’s ‘Last Singer Standing’, contemporary female artist Grace Foley will take to the stage to perform ‘Silent Night’ and other songs from her new album.
The epic Fanzini Brothers will do two daily shows, each show, a solo show: Guido Fanzano and his Thunderous Entertainment Haberdashery solo circus show and Ronaldo Fanzani with his King of Mayhem solo show.
The O’Neill Sisters (plus musicians) will set the stage alight with their angelic voices; classic tunes and Christmas delights.
Drum Dance Show is sure to get pulses racing with their colourful drums and heart-pounding, feet stomping interactive show with plenty of games and craic.
Renovator – one of Ireland’s best loved party bands will have everyone dancing with classic rock anthems and modern hits.
PLUS, there will be a few more surprises… best to simply come along and find out.
According to the ANSEO Kerry organisers, ‘There will be a variety of Christmas classics, great tunes and pure entertainment on stage whilst on screen there will be lots of visual delights, including super kids art; wonderful Kerry night sky timelapse photography by Madelaine Maria Webber; a collection of visual arts from Kerry Visual Artists Showcase and works by Kerry Visual Artist in Residence 2021, Lisa Fingleton.
ANSEO Kerry is a celebration of Kerry people and place, through live music and performance across arts, music and culture. All in all, this is going to be a truly special event and very festive. Definitely, not to be missed.
