Hailing from Athea, Glin and surrounding areas, Athea Vixens head to Barcelona to represent their club and country this Easter in the Thomas Sola basketball tournament.
“We are very proud of our girls at Vixens Basketball Club, as they travel to Barcelona at Easter time to compete against teams from across Europe in both U16 and U18 competitions in the Thomas Sola Championship. This is a fantastic opportunity for our teams to showcase their skills on an International stage, and represent our community and county with pride.”
“While we have been vigorously fundraising for the last six months, we are extremely grateful to all those who helped with our recent fundraising campaign, whether you bought a cake at our cake-sale or dropped money in our bucket collection, it all helped greatly to reach our target. We would also like to take the opportunity to thank especially all the local businesses who where so generous in their sponsorship.
