Curraghderrig Wind which owns and operates the 4.6MW Curraghderrig Wind Farm near the village of Asdee, has made a donation of €5,000 for the upgrade of the Information Technology (IT) facilities at Asdee National School, to help the children gain better access to the latest technology.

Curraghderrig Wind Farm was developed by Rengen Power with the two 2.3MW Enercon E-70 turbines being commissioned in December 2017. The wind farm will generate sufficient renewable energy to power over 3,100 homes, which in turn will save the equivalent of 5,600 tonnes of CO2 each year or the emissions of about 2,100 cars.
