Local Kerry Musician Timmy Flaherty joins the tour this year on Uilleann Pipes and Banjo. Twenty-one-year-old Timmy is a multi-instrumentalist who has impressive musical skills on banjo, uilleann pipes, mandolin, tenor guitar and tin whistle. He regularly competes at Fleadhanna and has won five All-Ireland titles: Banjo U12 (Cavan, 2010), Mandolin 12-15 (Cavan, 2012), Banjo 15-18 (Ennis, 2016), Mandolin 15-18 (Ennis, 2016), Senior Uilleann Pipes (Drogheda, 2018). His major musical influences are his former teachers, Aisling Neville and Willie Larkin.
Timmy performs every summer with Siamsa Tíre in Tralee and is currently studying Primary School Teaching in Mary Immaculate College.
