“I like to treat wood as if it were a malleable material; gently removing the excess from inside, pushing the wood into Fluid Forms”
Full colour limited edition hard back book featuring the artwork of wood turner and artist Liam Flynn. This 128 page coffee table style book will feature over 90 images of Liam’s work. Essays by Roger Bennett and Yvonne McEnery.
Liam Flynn was an Irish craftsperson of international repute from Abbeyfeale, County Limerick. Working with wood was a family tradition and Liam was quietly dedicated to his craft since childhood, having inherited the workshop of his father and grandfather. Fluid Forms is a celebration of the life and work of woodturner Liam Flynn, one of Ireland’s most renowned craftspeople. His turned wood vessels were exhibited throughout Europe and the USA and are included in several major collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum (UK), National Museum of Ireland, The Center for Wood Art (USA) and the Scottish National Museum.
This book was produced, with love, in memory of Liam, for everyone who admired him and his work.
