The Listowel Military Tattoo will take place this weekend on April 29th and 30th. This is a very special year for the event which will be honouring a native Kerryman Captain John O’Sullivan who was one of the most highly decorated pilots of the Vietnam War.
There will be a special treat for the veterans and spectators alike as a real working commercial ‘Huey’ helicopter will do a fly past to end the ceremony. This aircraft saw service in Vietnam. The helicopter will also be on display for the weekend.

On Friday night Listowel Military Tattoo invite you to a special showing of the film the Siege of Jadotville at 2000hrs. Event organised by the 15th/32nd Reunion and to meet and greet Comd. Leo Quinlan (retired) former O/C of the 15th Battalion stationed in Tralee. Leo’s father was the O/C of the Irish Troops involved in the Siege of Jadotville.
The committee would also like to invite you to the 15th FCA / PDF & 32nd RDF Battalion 2nd Reunion on Saturday 29th April. The events will start with a Parade of the Participants and Colour Party Gathering at Listowel Emmets GAA Pitch at 15.15pm. A Parade and Wreath Laying Ceremony at 16.00, followed by a Rememberance Mass at St. Mary’s Church sharing with the Congo Veterans at 18.15. The Official Reunion will then take place at the Seanchai Centre at 19.30. The Reunion will be launched by Comdt. Leo Quinlan  (retired – ex O/C 15th Batt.), who will also talk on The Siege of Jadotville.
