From Ballylongford to Bonane & Barraduff to Brandon Point, Local Link Kerry provide bus services into towns and villages throughout the County. Local Link Kerry covers the length and breadth of the Kingdom.

Local Link Kerry (LLK) has 18 years’ experience and expertise in the coordination and delivery of Safe, Secure and Reliable Bus Transport Services in Co Kerry and operate as an agent of the National Transport Authority and there are 15 Local Link offices nationally. Local Link Kerry’s mission is to provide and promote community led integrated, inclusive, accessible and affordable public transport that links all people to services and facilities and to influence transport policy at a local, regional and national level.
Local Link Kerry are proud to provide a high-quality professional bus service by working in partnership with Bus Operators, Communities and Organisations to develop and promote transport services which respond to unmet needs. Many services operate semi flexible routes and can deviate up to 2 miles to pick passengers up at their own doors.

DRT – Demand Responsive Transport
Demand Responsive Transport, or door to doors routes as they are known as, are bus services that operate a pick up and drop off at the door for people, where possible. These services are demand responsive, which is they require pre booking your seat with us so as that you can be collected.
These services have a start and an end time but the route may vary according to passenger bookings. These services generally operate 1, 2 or 3 days each week.
Local Link Kerry have the following bus services into Listowel;
R23 Ballyduff – Lisselton – Listowel (Wednesday)
R60 Moyvane – Tarbert – Ballylongford – Asdee – Listowel (Tuesday & Thursday)
R61 Moyvane – Athea – Listowel (Wednesday)
R14 Lixnaw – Finuge – Listowel (every 2nd Tues & every Friday) – every 2nd Tues goes to Tralee.
R11a Lyreacrompane – Pallas – Finuge – Listowel (Thursday)

Pre-Booking of seats is a requirement where there are deviations to the route, and to guarantee your seat.

RRS – Regular Rural Services
Rural Regular Services operate to a set timetable and operate multiple times throughout a day. Typically, they operate for 5, 6 or 7 days a week. They do not require pre- booking if you are getting on a designated bus stop. In North Kerry we operate Route 950 Abbeyfeale – Duagh – Listowel Monday to Friday.
Evening Time Bus Services
Local Link Kerry also have an evening time bus services operating:
E3 – Asdee Area & Ballylongford Area every Friday.

Fare Structure
Local Link Kerry would have Adult, Student and Child tickets available. On appropriate services, we also have weekly tickets available. Under 5 years of age and those with a Free Travel Pass can travel free of charge.

Private Bus Operators
Local Link Kerry’s relationship with private operators is one of the great success stories of Local Link Kerry. It is this relationship that help provide the connectivity that assist people from rural areas to access vital services and meet their own personal obligations. It also gives operators the opportunity to compete for business through the e-tender process to help sustain their enterprises which is a great boost to the local economy in Kerry.
