Kerry Writers’ Museum in Listowel is delighted to announce that local artist Shayne Mangan, working under the name Pixel Canvas, is the featured artist for July in The Creative Corner, the Museum’s new dedicated visual arts space.

Running until 31st July 2025, the exhibition presents a dynamic collection of Mangan’s graphic works, which draw inspiration from the streets, stories, and spirit of Listowel. With a strong background in digital design, Shayne fuses bold visual language with references to North Kerry’s cultural and historical landscape. The result is a collection that feels both modern and rooted in tradition.

“This body of work is about making the familiar feel new again,” says Mangan. “I want people to see their town a nd their heritage – through a different lens.”

The Creative Corner is a new initiative in Kerry Writers’ Museum designed to highlight emerging and established artists from the region. The space hosts monthly exhibitions in a gallery setting within the Museum and aims to connect visual art with storytelling, heritage, and local identity.

Visitors can view the exhibition from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Entry is free of charge, and all are welcome.
