We need you to support your local producers, businesses and growers and all you have to do is join Listowel Neighbourfood now.

What is neighbourfood?
Its an online platform for you the customer to buy from local suppliers, there are over a 100 online markets running in Ireland. They run weekly and you collect your order at a collection time, Listowels collection time will be Friday 1-4 and Saturday 10 – 1.

Why would you join? Because you would be supporting your local community and also its a more efficient market for small local businesses. As much as we all love the markets stalls it just dosnt pay SME’s to stand outside for at least 4/5 hours in the hope of selling and if they don’t product often goes to waste. With Neighbourfood suppliers get their order Thursday morning and deliver fresh on Friday before collection. They get paid within 4-6 days of delivery. Its great for small businesses. I’ve been doing Limerick and Killarney Neighbourfood markets for over a year and can say they have been a god send once I got going.

We have Larry Buckley as our butcher, Kearney’s Bakery are doing our gluten free breads, we have Kerry Kefir for the fermented milk range, Ardfert Dairys are doing our milk, Devine preserves are onboard with their amazing jams, marmalades and chutneys, Blasta delights, Leagh Farm from Ballyduff, Lizzy’s Little Kitchen and Yessca Flowers. We have more suppliers joining and I’d love for people to get in contact via Instagram or call into the shop to me. I’m sorting logistics to try get the famous foxglove cocktails from Cork on board (as we did the SuperValu Food Academy together and we’re both supplying Killarney market so I’m hoping we can do a pick up there) plus a few more cool Irish niche products coming soon.
