Beale GAA Darkness into Light Fundraiser

718

We are planning to walk from Ballybunion to Croke Park again this May in aid of Pieta House and Beale GAA. On this Sunday, 23rd May, starting before sunrise (4.00am) from SuperValu, and by doing laps of the town (5km) in a relay format until dusk, we intend to walk/run the equivalent distance from Ballybunion to Croke Park – hopefully many trips, like last year when we walked the journey several times over.

We hope to do even better this year and are looking for walkers and joggers to help us. So put on your walking shoes or runners! The cost is €20 per adult, €5 per child or €30 for family. It can be paid on the day. If you wish to contribute more that would be most welcome; if you wish to give less, that’s fine too. Come and join in the fun!

People leave SuperValu at regular intervals right through the day. Let us know what time suits you. Great if your times are flexible as we want to keep going right through until dusk that evening. In order to abide by social distancing regulations and get a time slot, make sure to phone, text or whatsapp Bríd (087)6686027 or Mairead (086) 3937654.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it to Ballybunion, you can still walk/jog the 5km close to home and donate online. This year, Run4Pieta will split funds raised to support not only Pieta, but to also support your local GAA club. Please spread the word to all your friends near and far.
